Working in social media for over five years, Hollie Wong has managed social accounts followed and engaged with by millions, devised and executed organic strategies, and produced a range of multimedia content for cross-platform publishing.

About Hollie

From Social Media Intern to an award-winning Head of Social, Hollie has progressed in the social media industry since starting in 2017 at the business news channel, CNBC International, going on to manage socials at WIRED UK and, most recently, GAY TIMES.

Producing and strategising content for audiences of millions, Hollie has devised and executed social strategies for event coverage, talent promotion, external competitions, brand sponsorships, the 24/7 news cycle, and in-depth reporting.

Social and Web Highlights

Central to Hollie's roles across their career has been the backbone of social media; scheduling, posting and caption writing. From Instagram headlines to full-length features, work has spanned the creation of daily social media posting to regularly engage audiences and create brand awareness across social media.

GAY TIMES' 40th Birthday

From social video campaign ideation, to on the ground production and posting, Hollie spearheaded GAY TIMES' 40th birthday celebrations across socials. Bringing together nine queer creatives who defined GT's legacy and future, Hollie wrote and directed all social video content captured on set and worked closely with a production company to execute the vision. Garnering over 1.5 million views on Instagram alone, the campaign met both metric KPIs set and made a large impression on our following.

Switchboard Turns 50

Hollie worked closely with a number of charity partners at GAY TIMES, most notably collaborating with Switchboard UK, the LGBTQ+ helpline. To celebrate 50 years of operating, Hollie devised and produced a multi-video series that not only accrured over 190K views across TikTok and Instagram, but provided our audience and Switchboard with engaging and necessary content.

GAY TIMES Honours

A night to celebrate LGBTQ+ excellence, GAY TIMES Honours brings together a range of queer talent and creativity to highlight some of the amazing work in our community. As social media project manager for this night, Hollie worked closely with Getty Video to capture high-quality content of the red carpet, on-stage awards, and music performances. Posting and scheduling video, still and written content throughout the night and across the following days, Hollie managed a team of people as social responsibilities for the event also extended to sponsorship and affiliate content. Reaching an audience of millions, the elevated content saw Hollie manage socials for their largest event yet.
